## Oridecon Stone & Elunium Stone – Drop Sources

### What Changed?

On **The Ragnarok Classic**, the refined upgrade materials **Oridecon** and **Elunium** have been **removed from all monster drop tables** and replaced with their unrefined counterparts: **Oridecon Stone** and **Elunium Stone**.

Players must now visit an NPC to refine these stones into usable upgrade materials before they can be used for equipment upgrades.

### Why Were Refined Drops Removed?

> **To prevent economy flooding and control the upgrade market.**

In official and most private servers, monsters directly drop refined **Oridecon** and **Elunium**, allowing players to immediately upgrade equipment without any extra step. This leads to:

| Problem                              | Impact                                                                                 |
| ------------------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Over-supply of upgrade materials** | Oridecon and Elunium lose their value rapidly as they flood the market.                |
| **Uncontrolled upgrade attempts**    | Players can spam upgrades endlessly, leading to an overabundance of high-refined gear. |
| **Inflation of the economy**         | When everyone has +7\~+10 gear with minimal effort, the server economy collapses.      |
| **Devalued farming efforts**         | Dedicated farmers see diminishing returns when materials are too common.               |

By only dropping **Stones** (the unrefined version), The Ragnarok Classic introduces a **refining step** that acts as a natural **material sink** — helping regulate supply, stabilize prices, and keep upgrades meaningful.
