### Overview

The **Hunter Job Change Quest** is the official quest for Archers to advance to the Hunter class. This multi-stage quest tests not only your combat abilities but also your character, etiquette, and problem-solving skills. The quest involves an interview, item collection, and a challenging practical test in a trap-filled arena.

#### Quest Flow

1. **Requirements Check** - Verify you meet the prerequisites
2. **Interview Phase** - Answer questions about etiquette and attitude
3. **Item Collection** - Gather materials for arrow crafting
4. **Practical Test** - Complete a timed hunting challenge with traps
5. **Job Change** - Receive your Hunter certification

#### Requirements

Before starting the quest, you must meet these requirements:

* **Base Job**: Archer (Job\_Archer)
* **Job Level**: Minimum Job Level 40
* **Skill Points**: All skill points must be used (0 remaining)
* **Location**: Hunter Guild Headquarters (in\_hunter map)

* **Entrance**: Payon Field 10 (pay\_fild10) at coordinates 148, 252
* **NPC**: Job Change Location (Sign Board)
* **Guild Location**: Hunter Guild Headquarters (in\_hunter map)

### Quest Walkthrough

#### Phase 1: Initial Registration

1. **Travel to Hunter Guild**
   * Go to Payon Field 10 (pay\_fild10) at coordinates 148, 252
   * Click the "Job Change Location" sign board
   * You'll be warped to the Hunter Guild Headquarters
2. **Talk to Hunter Guildsman (Sherin)**
   * Location: in\_hunter map, coordinates 99, 99
   * Select "Yes. That's what I'm here for."
   * Sherin will prepare the interview questions

#### Phase 2: The Interview

Hunter Sherin will ask you **10 questions** about various scenarios. Your answers determine whether you pass:

* **Perfect Score (100 points)**: Immediate pass with praise
* **Good Score (90 points)**: Pass with a reminder to improve
* **Below 90 points**: Fail - must retake the interview

**Interview Questions & Best Answers**

1. **"You don't know where to hunt. What do you do?"**
   * Best: "Quietly ask a person passing by" or "Wander around alone and search for a place"
2. **"You're in Payon but need to go to Sograt Desert. How?"**
   * Best: "Use the Kafra service" or "Walk with a friend"
3. **"You need Zeny for Kafra but have none. How do you get it?"**
   * Best: "Sell items I do not need" or "Hunt at a nearby field"
4. **"Hodes are too strong for you. What do you do?"**
   * Best: "Go back to town"
5. **"A Priest is nearby and you need healing. How do you ask?"**
   * Best: "Would it be possible to get a Heal, please?"
6. **"You want to sell a rare item. Best method?"**
   * Best: "Open a chatroom and wait" or "Look to see if anyone already wants it"
7. **"Someone is begging for items/Zeny. What should you do?"**
   * Best: "Give some of my items and Zeny"
8. **"You encounter someone lost. What should you do?"**
   * Best: "Tell them which way to go" or "Guide them to their destination"
9. **"Someone is attacking a boss. What should you do?"**
   * Best: "Watch, then attack when asked for help"
10. **"You find an expensive item on the floor. What do you do?"**
    * Best: "Try to find the owner" or "Just walk by"

**Tip**: The interview emphasizes respect, helpfulness, and proper etiquette - values important to Hunters who work in harmony with nature and others.

#### Phase 3: Item Collection

After passing the interview:

1. **Talk to Demon Hunter (Guild Receptionist)**
   * Location: in\_hunter map, coordinates 54, 99
   * He will randomly assign you one of **7 different item sets**
2. **Collect Required Items**

The Demon Hunter will request **3 different items** in varying quantities. The items are randomly selected from one of these sets:

**Set 1:**

* 5x Insect Feeler (Renewal) or Claw of Desert Wolf (Pre-Renewal)
* 5x Wooden Block
* 3x White Herb

**Set 2:**

* 3x Bill of Birds
* 5x Skeleton Bone
* 3x Green Herb

**Set 3:**

* 3x Colorful Shell (Renewal) or Poisonous Canine (Pre-Renewal)
* 3x Animal's Skin
* 5x Red Herb

**Set 4:**

* 3x Horn (Renewal) or Dokkaebi Horn (Pre-Renewal)
* 3x Poison Spore (Renewal) or Piece of Egg Shell (Pre-Renewal)
* 10x Fluff

**Set 5:**

* 9x Shell
* 9x Worm Peelings
* 9x Yellow Herb

**Set 6:**

* 3x Tooth of Bat
* 1x Sticky Mucus
* 1x Bear's Foot

**Set 7:**

* 2x Porcupine Spike
* 1x Yoyo Tail
* 1x Acorn

3. **Return to Demon Hunter**
   * Bring all required items
   * He will take them and direct you to the Guildmaster

#### Phase 4: Finding the Guildmaster

After collecting items, you need to find the Hunter Guildmaster. His location depends on your item set:

* **Item Sets 1-4**: Guildmaster is at **Payon Central Palace** (payon\_in01, coordinates 131, 108)
* **Item Sets 5-7**: Guildmaster is at **Archer Guild** (payon\_in02, coordinates 21, 31)

**Note**: If you go to the wrong location, the NPC will redirect you.

#### Phase 5: The Practical Test

This is the most challenging part of the quest.

**Test Overview**

* **Location**: Special testing map (job\_hunte)
* **Time Limit**: 3 minutes
* **Objective**: Hunt 4+ "Job Change Monster" and escape
* **Starting Position**: 6 o'clock direction (south) of the map
* **Exit Location**: 12 o'clock direction (north) of the map

**Test Instructions**

1. **Enter the Waiting Room**
   * The Guildmaster will warp you to the testing area
   * If someone else is taking the test, you must wait in the chatroom
   * Only one person can take the test at a time
2. **Receive Arrows**
   * The Guildmaster provides 200 Silver Arrows
   * Make sure you have a **Bow** equipped (arrows are provided)
3. **The Challenge**
   * **Target Monsters**: Hunt exactly **4 or more** monsters named **"Job Change Monster"**
   * **Decoy Monsters**: Many monsters with similar names will try to trick you:
     * "Job Test Monster"
     * "Job Tester Monster"
     * "Hunter Change Monster"
     * "Job Transfer Monster"
     * Various other fake names
   * **Traps**: Invisible traps throughout the map will warp you back to the starting point if stepped on
   * **Time Limit**: Complete everything within 3 minutes
4. **Activate the Switch**
   * After hunting 4+ "Job Change Monster", a switch appears in the **center of the map**
   * Touch the switch and select **"Escape"**
   * This activates the escape portal
5. **Escape**
   * After activating the switch, an escape portal appears at the **12 o'clock direction** (north)
   * Enter the portal to complete the test

**Test Warnings**

⚠️ **Critical Rules**:

* **Only hunt "Job Change Monster"** - Hunting any other monster name will fail the test
* **Avoid all traps** - Stepping on a trap warps you back to start
* **Watch the timer** - You have exactly 3 minutes
* **Don't die** - Dying fails the test
* **One attempt at a time** - If you fail, you must wait for the next person to finish

**Test Tips**

* **Read monster names carefully** - Only "Job Change Monster" counts
* **Move cautiously** - Traps are invisible, so move carefully
* **Use ranged attacks** - Stay at a distance to avoid traps near monsters
* **Time management** - You have 3 minutes, but don't rush into traps
* **Practice** - If you fail, you can retry (but must wait your turn)

**Test Failure Conditions**

You will fail and be returned to the waiting room if:

* You hunt a monster with the wrong name
* You step on a trap
* You die during the test
* Time runs out (3 minutes)
* You resign from the test

#### Phase 6: Receiving Proof

After successfully completing the test:

1. **Return to Guildmaster**
   * You'll be warped back to Payon (either payon\_in01 or payon\_in02)
   * Talk to the Guildmaster who sent you
   * He will give you **Necklace of Wisdom (Penetration)** (Item ID: 1007)
2. **Return to Hunter Guild**
   * Go back to Hunter Guild Headquarters (in\_hunter)
   * Talk to **Hunter Sherin** (coordinates 99, 99)
   * She will complete your job change

#### Phase 7: Job Change Complete

1. **Final Confirmation**
   * Sherin will congratulate you
   * Your job will change from Archer to Hunter
   * You'll receive a reward based on your Job Level:
     * **Job Level 50+**: Hunter Bow (Item ID: 1718)
     * **Job Level 49 or below**: Crossbow (Item ID: 1710)
2. **Congratulations!**
   * You are now a Hunter!
   * You can now learn Hunter-specific skills
   * You can tame and use a Falcon
